The 20th annual Friedman Lecture and Awards addresses topics related to aging and recognizes contributions to the care of older adults. The 2021 lecture features a keynote from Joseph Coughlin, PhD, founder and director of AgeLab, author, and a senior lecturer at the Department of Urban Studies & Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His keynote, entitled, Writing a New Story for Old Age in Today’s Longevity Economycenters on opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurship and innovation as we age.

AWARDS

Prior to the keynote address, we will present the 2021 awardees of The Harvey A. and Dorismae Hacker Friedman Award for Excellence in Service to Older Adults; The Alene and Meyer Kopolow Award for Geriatrics, Psychiatry and Neurology; and The Mark S. Wrighton Research Award on Aging. Learn more about these awards.

The Mark S. Wrighton Research Award on Aging will be awarded to the winner(s) of our 3MT competition, which will be held on March 3, 2021. Learn more on how to compete in or attend the competition.

We are currently accepting nominations through March 1, 2021 for the The Harvey A. and Dorismae Hacker Friedman Award for Excellence in Service to Older Adults and The Alene and Meyer Kopolow Award for Geriatrics, Psychiatry and Neurology.
